In 2016, Jonathan and Dana boarded a plane to Uganda with open hearts and no idea what was ahead. What was meant to be a short visit turned into something far more profound. They were drawn in by the warmth of the people, the strength of the communities, and the beauty of a culture that felt like home. As they left, they knew deep down—they would return.
And they did. One year later, they came back not just to visit, but to stay. Since then, Uganda has become their home, and Change Tomorrow was born from a simple, steady desire: to be present, to listen, and to build something that lasts.
Rooted in their faith in Christ, Jonathan and Dana believe in the power of restored dignity, shared life, and hope that does not fade. Their vision is to see children and families thriving—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—walking in purpose and joy.
2017
The Start of a Vision
Jonathan & Dana Aird travelled to Uganda for their first long-term trip, ready to serve and learn from the local community. It was the beginning of what would become the Change Tomorrow ministry.
2018
The Birth of Change Tomorrow
Jonathan & Dana Aird moved to Uganda full time. Through listening, learning, and building relationships, the Change Tomorrow ministry was born. They met with community members and local leaders to share the vision, and soon took over an unfinished school building — just bare brick walls with no doors, windows, or roof — ready to bring it to life as a place of learning and hope.
2019
Stand Up for Women Begins
In late 2018 and early 2019, the women’s ministry Stand Up for Women was formed, bringing together mothers and women from the community. Together, they began farming trainings, Bible studies, and literacy classes, empowering women with skills, knowledge, and hope for the future.
2020
From Construction to Community Care
By the end of 2019 and the start of 2020, the main school building was completed, and construction of the office had begun. Farming training programs were fully developed, along with a place for the community’s livestock, creating opportunities for learning, growth, and sustainable development. In the midst of a strict COVID-19 shutdown, we also delivered food packages to support families in the community.
2021
Learning Through the Pandemic
During the two-year pandemic, Change Tomorrow continued to educate and support the community. Outdoor libraries and learning centres were opened across the village, giving children safe spaces to read, learn, and grow even during challenging times.
2022
From Pause to Progress
After the pandemic, Change Tomorrow reopened its doors with renewed energy. Qualified teachers returned to the classrooms, women’s ministry programs flourished, and farming activities were running at full capacity, bringing hope, learning, and growth back to the community.
2023
Investing in Teachers and Families
Our nursery and primary school began using the Christian Classical curriculum provided by the Rafiki Foundation, marking a major step forward in the quality of education for the village. Weekly skills training for women in the community also began, empowering them with new knowledge and opportunities. We also completed the reconstruction of staff houses for 10 teachers on our compound, providing a safe and comfortable home for those serving the children and community.
2024
New Classrooms, Stronger Communities
We began constructing a new nursery building with three classrooms, as the old space was no longer suitable for little children. Our farming program also expanded, visiting local farmers who had completed our training and helping them build sustainable piggeries, encouraging self-reliance and long-term growth without depending on outside support.
2025
Expanding Learning and Family Support
We completed the construction of the new nursery building, providing three classrooms for little children to learn and grow. Our social worker program was also fully developed, becoming a strong pillar of support for the community and helping families thrive.
