You cannot change yesterday but you can do something today that can change tomorrow

Our Story

Change Tomorrow was founded in 2017 by Jonathan Aird and Dana Mateju.

Change Tomorrow is a fully registered charity in Scotland and an internationally registered NGO in Uganda. We work tirelessly to make sure that 100% of your donations make it to our projects on the ground. Change Tomorrow owns 10 acres of land in a small rural village called Lusanja in Mityana, Uganda. We are building our projects to include our nursery, primary school, vocational training center, women empowerment center, and farm with the end goal being that every project will be self-sustaining. We work hard to make a positive difference in the life of every child attending our school, every adult attending our programs and every family in the wider community. Before Change Tomorrow these children and the community were facing a life of poverty and hardship however, through sponsorships, education, and training we offer the chance of a successful and exciting future.

About The Founders

Jonathan & Dana Aird

Jonathan Aird born June 3rd, 1990, and Dana Aird born 18th March 1988 have been married since 2017. Jonathan and Dana took their first trip to Uganda in 2016 and since then have always had Africa in their hearts. Both founders felt that God had a plan for them and this road they were to embark on was to begin with education. God had given them a vision to focus on the more rural areas of Uganda and to begin building knowledge from the ground up starting with nursery, moving on up through primary and eventually on to secondary education. Both founders are extremely passionate and dedicated to their work and are heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the school, staffing, farm, women’s group, accounting and auditing, construction, design, acquisition of permits and certificates, legal matters, and much more. Jonathan and Dana have made Uganda their home and improving lives in their villages is their mission.

Our Mission

Improve the lives of those in our rural community by providing quality education in a safe environment so every child can learn and reach their full potential and by managing a women’s program that focuses on empowerment and offers women the opportunity to build wealth for their families and/or financial independence for themselves.

Our Vision

To be a leading educational institute bringing first class, ‘city level’ education to the rural communities, with a robust sponsorship program that will enable all disadvantaged children an opportunity to attend school. To offer a wide ranging extra-curricular program that will compliment a child’s education, expand their minds and provide a well-rounded experience. To have a full array of programs and services available to everyone in the local community to improve their socio-economic position and create sustainable development. To extend our expertise and successful service model to other community organizations to help bring long lasting and improved change to other marginalized and under-developed communities.

Christian Ethos

We believe that every area of school life should be informed and distinctively shaped by our Christian foundation. Our children will be taught the Christian faith and witness it lived out within our community. Children of all faiths and none are warmly welcome. Your child will be encouraged to explore, develop and share their own beliefs and values in an open, respectful environment. Every single person at Change Tomorrow studies the Bible every day.
